An inversion formula for the horizontal conical Radon transform

چکیده

In this paper, we consider the conical Radon transform on all one-sided circular cones in $$\mathbf{R}^3$$ with horizontal central axis whose vertices are a vertical line. We derive an explicit inversion formula for such transform. The makes use of slice sphere and V-line plane.

Analytic Inversion of a Conical Radon Transform Arising in Application of Compton Cameras on the Cylinder

Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is a well established clinical tool for functional imaging. A limitation of current SPECT systems is the use of mechanical collimation, where only a small fraction of the emitted photons is actually used for image reconstruction. This results in large noise level and finally in a limited spatial resolution. In order to decrease the noise level ...

Novikov ’ s Inversion Formula for the Attenuated Radon Transform — A New Approach

We study the inversion of weighted Radon transforms in two dimensions,Rρf (L) = ∫ L f (·) ρ(L, ·) ds, where the weight function ρ(L, x), L a line and x ∈ L, has a special form. It was an important breakthrough when R.G. Novikov recently gave an explicit formula for the inverse of Rρ when ρ has the form (1.2); in this case Rρ is called the attenuated Radon transform. Here we prove similar result...

Radon Transform Inversion using the Shearlet Representation

The inversion of the Radon transform is a classical ill-posed inverse problem where some method of regularization must be applied in order to accurately recover the objects of interest from the observable data. A well-known consequence of the traditional regularization methods is that some important features to be recovered are lost, as evident in imaging applications where the regularized reco...

Inversion of the circular Radon transform on an annulus

The representation of a function by its circular Radon transform (CRT) and various related problems arise in many areas of mathematics, physics and imaging science. There has been a substantial spike of interest towards these problems in the last decade mainly due to the connection between the CRT and mathematical models of several emerging medical imaging modalities. This paper contains some n...

An inversion formula for the exponential radon transform in spatial domain with variable focal-length fan-beam collimation geometry.

Inverting the exponential Radon transform has a potential use for SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) imaging in cases where a uniform attenuation can be approximated, such as in brain and abdominal imaging. Tretiak and Metz derived in the frequency domain an explicit inversion formula for the exponential Radon transform in two dimensions for parallel-beam collimator geometry. Pr...
